The Roman Emperor Nero is sadly remembered in the annals of history for a catastrophic fire that broke out during his reign and destroyed much of ancient Rome. The flames lasted for seven days, accompanying Roman citizens through the already scorching heat of the summer "Dog Days."
THE PROCESS
The simulation was created in Blender and rendered with Cycles in .exr format. Color profile and gamma transformations (from Linear Rec 709 to Arri Wide Gamut) were then performed within DaVinci Resolve. The entire project was then edited and exported in HEVC format.
